MaineGeneral Health’s goal is to positively impact the health of the community by providing a range of health care services for people of all ages and focusing on clinical excellence, patient and family experience and financial stability. As a nonprofit, we also rely on the generosity of individual donors, businesses, private foundations and state and federal agencies to support the ever-growing and continuous needs impacting the health and wellness of our patients, friends and family. Each year, adults and students contribute thousands of hours of volunteer service at MaineGeneral Medical Center. While coming from various backgrounds and communities throughout the Kennebec Valley, they share a common bond – a desire to help others through volunteer service. MaineGeneral encourages everyone to volunteer. Whether you're a recent retiree looking to do something meaningful, a professional looking to give back, or a student interested in community service, MaineGeneral offers many ways to volunteer. We'd love to have you. Our volunteer opportunities include: Art Committee, Engineering, Food & Nutrition, Music Therapy, Office Support, Pharmacy, Retail Spaces, Medical Oncology, MGMC Auxiliary, Outpatient Services, Patient Access, Patient Advocate, Pet Therapy, Spiritual Care, Welcome Desk, Hospital Elder Life Program and Patient Transport.
