In its Nov. 28, 2016, issue Mainebiz reported that the city of Portland planned to sell off its Public Works buildings, which encompassed four acres in the West Bayside neighborhood. Developers quickly bought up different parts of the parcel and, three years later, it’s a changed neighborhood. As Maureen Milliken reported recently in the Real Estate Insider, the area now has apartments, condos, an event space, offices and coworking spaces. Also there, or coming soon, eating and drinking establishments like the Whiskey Barrel, Wilson County Barbecue, Banded Brewing and Batson River Social Club.

The Nov. 28, 2016, issue of Mainebiz reported that Apple Inc., in partnership with the Conservation Fund, donated 32,400 acres of Reed Forest in Aroostook County as part of a global conservation effort.
