Baker Newman Noyes, an accounting firm founded in Portland in 1995, has completed its merger with Portsmouth-based accounting firm Albert P. Stowe, CPA, PLLC.
An independent member of Baker Tilly International, the firm has offices in Boston, Peabody and Springfield, Mass.; Portsmouth and Manchester, N.H.; and Portland.
The combined Portsmouth team will operate out of the firm’s new office at Pease International Tradeport at 100 Arboretum Dr. in Portsmouth.
The merger, completed Monday, continues the firm’s expansion in New England.
Earlier this year, New Hampshire-based William Steele & Associates PC merged with Baker Newman Noyes and, most recently, the firm merged with the external audit and tax practices of Boston-based Shatswell, MacLeod & Co.
With the most recent merger, Baker Newman Noyes will have approximately 75 employees in New Hampshire and 260 employees overall, according to a release from the company.
“This addition makes us an even greater force in the area and further solidifies our commitment to the Seacoast region while enhancing our overall presence in New Hampshire,” Eleanor Baker, BNN managing principal, said in statement.
Financial details of the deal, which was first announced in September, were not disclosed.
