Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has hired Paul Berube as assistant vice president and branch relationship manager for its Bangor locations on Stillwater Avenue and Union Street.
In this new role, he will lead teams of banking professionals to help individuals, families and businesses in the Bangor area meet their financial goals.
Berube has 10 years of experience in banking. He began his career as an asset recovery specialist at True Choice, and later went on to Bangor Federal Credit Union. There he worked as a senior mortgage loan officer and later as a branch manager.
Prior to joining Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Berube was a business development and mortgage loan officer at Maine Savings Federal Credit Union.
Berube earned a certificate as a financial counselor through the Credit Union National Association's Financial Counseling Certification Program.
The Milford native is an active volunteer in his community. He serves on the steering committee for Bangor Fusion, a network of young residents committed to the growth of the Greater Bangor Region.
