Portland International Jetport said Wednesday that Breeze Airways will launch a new summer seasonal service to Westchester County Airport, in White Plains, N.Y. The nonstop flights begin June 20.
The new service will operate two days a week on Thursdays and Sundays. With the addition, Breeze Airways will operate nine nonstop routes out of Portland — the most of any carrier at the jetport.
“Breeze Airways continues to invest in the Portland community,” said the airport director, Paul Bradbury. “We are pleased to see additional flights to the New York City metro area and know many in the community will be excited for nonstop access to Westchester County."
The airline has been steadily adding flights and destinations over the past several years.
Founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, Utah-based Breeze Airways began service in May 2021. One year later, it was ranked the No. 2 U.S. "best domestic airline" of 2021 by Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards.
