Simply Divine Brownies, a Freeport gourmet brownie company that's won rave reviews from celebrities including Rachel Ray and Paula Deen, has opened a new shop in the Eastland Park Hotel.
Founded in 2004, the mother-daughter company will hold a grand opening and fifth anniversary party at the High Street hotel on Nov. 17. It has also announced new dessert catering services for weddings and local businesses. "We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership," Tamara Gilliam, the hotel's general manager, said in a press release announcing the opening.
Simply Divine Brownies, which sells custom, hand-decorated confections -- including brownies imprinted with digital images, brownie lollipops and gluten-free brownies -- has been featured in national media including The Today Show and Better Homes and Gardens. In addition to the Freeport and Portland shops, the brownies are available online and through partners such as L.L.Bean, Stonewall Kitchen and Whole Foods Market.
