Chalmers Insurance buys Norway insurance company
Chalmers Insurance Group, an independent insurance agency based in Bridgton, has purchased Goodwin’s Inc. Insurance of Norway for an undisclosed price.
Chalmers President Steve Cote said in a press release that the purchase will enable the company to enter the Oxford Hills region’s market while also giving Goodwin’s customers “a more diverse array of insurers, including a dedicated claims department that is available 24/7 to Chalmers’ clients.”
Chalmers serves businesses and individuals from nine offices in Maine and New Hampshire.
In January, the company said it had purchased Bragdon Insurance of York Village.
