CMP again tops midsize, regional J.D. Power list

Central Maine Power Co. has topped this year's J.D. Power and Associates' midsize electric utilities customer satisfaction survey for the eastern region.

The study from the global marketing information service compares businesses along a 1,000-point scale, measuring power quality and reliability, corporate citizenship, price, communications and customers' service, according to a press release.

CMP scored 654 by that latest survey, beating out Pennsylvania-based Penelec, New York-based Central Hudson Gas and Electric and others for the No. 1 spot.

This is the second consecutive year CMP has topped the J.D. Power and Associates list, which reviews more than 90 utility brands across the country.
