Down East Credit Union named Matthew Fleming as its new chief financial officer.
The credit union serves Washington, Waldo, Hancock, Penobscot, Lincoln, Kennebec, Sagadahoc and Knox counties and the towns of Brunswick and Harpswell in Cumberland County. Branch offices are located in Baileyville, Machias, Belfast, Unity, Bangor, Calais, Richmond and Topsham.
Fleming previously worked at ProInfoNet and Health Connect Networks, where he served since July 2018 as the director of accounting and finance. Prior to that, he held the role of accounting manager there for three years.
Other previous employment includes positions held at Eastmill Federal Credit Union in East Millinocket, at MacDonald Page & Co. in Augusta, and at Lafayette Hotels. He earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Maine.
Fleming began his new role at Down East Credit Union on April 1.
