EMMC head to retire in 2017
Deborah Carey Johnson, the president and CEO at Eastern Maine Medical Center, will leave her post in July 2017.
According to the Bangor Daily News, Johnson’s retirement was announced in a July 15 memo from Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems President and CEO Michelle Hood.
Johnson began working at EMMC over 40 years ago as a registered nurse and assumed the role of president and CEO in 2004, the BDN reported.
Details about the search and recruitment of Johnson’s replacement will be announced later, Hood wrote in the memo, according to the BDN.
