FedEx Ground facility planned for Hermon
International shipper FedEx is expected to begin work on an 85,000-square-foot, $8 million distribution center in Hermon this summer.
The Bangor Daily News reported the distribution center would be the company's third shipment facility in the region. It has two facilities in Bangor.
Ron Harriman, economic development director for Hermon, told the paper he expects the plant to employ between 90 and 100 people. A FedEx spokesman declined to comment on the plans, which he said is company policy.
