Franklin Memorial Health in Farmington has hired a new physician for its internal medicine team.
Liia Doumanovskaia’s clinical interests include the treatment of acute and chronic health problems including high blood pressure, diabetes and lung diseases, and prophylactic measures to support general health.
Doumanovskaia received her medical degree from Ural State Medical Academy in Sverdlovsk, Russia, followed by residency training at the Ural Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology in Russia.
She later completed her residency in the internal medicine program at Far Rockaway in New York. She is also board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
“I am blessed meeting a lot of interesting people working in an outpatient practice. Everyone has a different story,” said Dr. Doumanovskaia. “I am trying to treat a person with an illness rather than an illness in a person. I greatly appreciate my patient's participation and input in the treatment process.”
Franklin Memorial is a member of MaineHealth, northern New England's largest health system.
Franklin Memorial Health is ranked No. 16 among Maine's largest hospitals in the 2023 Mainebiz Book of Lists, ranked by the number of licensed acute care beds.
