Frontier Airlines announced today that beginning in July it will introduce nonstop service to Denver and Raleigh/Durham, N.C., from the Portland International Jetport. In August, it plans to add nonstop service to Orlando, Fla., from Portland as well.
The airline revealed the destinations at an event this morning with officials from the jetport.
“We are proud to call Portland our new home,” said Tyri Squyres, vice president of marketing for Frontier Airlines. “We our new flights to Denver, Orland and Raleigh, we are making air travel more accessible and affordable for travelers to and from [PWM]. We look forward to serving this community.”
PWM Director Paul Bradbury said the addition of Frontier Airlines to the jetport’s carriers will provide “a better travel experience for the consumer.”
“Connecting passengers to places they want to be is the best way to do that,” he said. “Today we celebrate the announcement Frontier Airlines is adding three new destinations to our route network making it easier than ever for Mainers to get to Denver, Raleigh and Orlando.”
