HospitalityMaine, a nonprofit trade group representing some 1,200 businesses in Maine, is working with Husson University to offer the group's members and employees discounts on coursework.
The partnership with Husson University offers a wide range of options, including a tuition discount on courses toward undergraduate degrees, master's degrees and certificates in non-capped programs.
Members and employees can choose their own path, including customized education, training and internships.
“We are excited to offer this opportunity to our member organizations and their staff,” said Becky Jacobson, executive director of HospitalityMaine. “HospitalityMaine encourages membership to take advantage of this opportunity to obtain additional skills and knowledge at a reduced cost. We are pleased to continue to advance our partnership with Husson University and their educators.”
Lynne Coy-Ogan, Husson’s senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, said, “A highly skilled workforce is essential to productivity and success in business. At Husson, we are proud to partner with HospitalityMaine and to strengthen Maine's lodging, restaurant and hospitality industry workforce through ongoing education.”
Husson University ranks No. 7 among Maine's largest colleges and universities, according to the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists, with an undergraduate enrollment of 2,168.
