Husson University said it has entered into an agreement with the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce to provide employees of their member organizations a 10% tuition discount on the university’s MBA programs.
The university announced Thursday that the 10% reduction in tuition applies to all of its MBA programs. These include the traditional MBA degree with a general/corporate focus and Husson MBA programs with concentrations in biotechnology and innovation, data analytics, healthcare management, hospitality management, organizational management and risk management.
Those who follow the admissions procedures to become graduate students at Husson University will also receive a $50 application fee waiver.
Any employee of the members of the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce who have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited institution is eligible to enroll in Husson’s MBA program, according to Husson’s news release announcing the agreement. This includes individuals who have completed bachelor’s degrees in disciplines other than business. To assist these students, Husson will offer a leveling course or courses that can be taken online. This will provide these students with the background business education they’ll need to successfully complete their MBA studies.
In addition, any Chamber members’ employees who have completed some graduate coursework, may apply for transfer credit.
“Reaching your goals in business today means you have to make a commitment to lifelong learning,” said Deb Neuman, president and CEO of the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce. “Organizations’ most valuable assets are their people. An investment in workforce development by employers through Husson’s MBA program will strengthen the balance sheets of area companies and the economy of our region.”
Husson University is Maine’s largest college of business. Those interested in applying transfer credits to their MBA program should contact Husson University graduate admissions by calling (207) 404-5661 or emailing the university at graduateschool@husson.edu
