Husson debuts MBA program

Husson University will begin offering MBA courses in January, with plans to officially launch the program by the end of next year.

The university will offer the MBA program at its campuses in Bangor, South Portland and Presque Isle and discontinue its existing master of science in business degree, according to the Portland Press Herald. President Robert Clark said the program will target both full-time students and working professionals.

In other education news, Southern Maine Community College is receiving a $1.9 million, five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education to develop programming to help ensure students succeed, according to the paper. The programs will focus on adding support services for students in their first semester, and will include creating and staffing a new Learning Commons. A total of 48 colleges and universities in the country received a grant through the DOE.
