Maine's Top Gun business accelerator program is returning to Washington and Aroostook counties.
The program, organized by the Maine Center for Entrepreneurs, says it is designed for businesspeople who want to grow their enterprises and achieve long-term success by using the right tools, resources and mentorship.
Top Gun runs for 15 weeks and combines hands-on mentoring with high-impact weekly gatherings. The winners of each competition move on to the statewide competition, where businesses vie to win a $25,000 cash prize.
Since 2009, the program has worked with over 400 Maine entrepreneurs. This year, Top Gun programs will be offered in Bangor, Portland, Presque Isle and Waterville.
An informational session has been scheduled for Aroostook County on Nov. 7 at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. For more information, click here.
An informational session has been scheduled for Washington County on Nov. 6 at the MaineStreet Business Building in Machias. For more information, click here.
Applications are due Nov. 29.
The cost to participate is $600. Scholarships are available through the Northern Maine Development Commission by contacting Jacob Pelkey at 207-498-5065 or jpelkey@nmdc.org.
