iVantage buys Tenn.-based hospital advisor
Health care informatics company iVantage Health Analytics has purchased the Tennessee-based Xylem Consulting LLC that specializes in giving financial advice to hospitals. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The Portland-based iVantage said in a press release that Xylem will add contract analysis and negotiation assistance to its services, which analyze large stores of data to help hospital administrators make management decisions. The acquisition of Xylem will allow the company to incorporate that data-driven approach to hospital contract negotiations, the company said.
Earlier this month, the company acquired the Baltimore-based Professional Data Services, which provides analytical software to help hospitals optimize revenue.
The company was formed in 2011 through the merger of four separate health care information businesses and earlier this year raised $10.9 million through a Series A equity financing.
