Three Maine lawmakers are heading to Quebec this week to talk with Canadian officials about energy, trade and economic development.

The three legislators are Reps. Ken Fredette of Newport and Jeff Gifford of Lincoln, and Sen. Roger Sherman of Houlton, all members of the Maine-Canadian Legislative Advisory Commission. The trio has lined up a series of meetings with government officials and business leaders set to begin Wednesday, according to The Associated Press.

They are scheduled to meet with members of the National Assembly of Quebec, as well as economic development and natural resources officials and representatives of Hydro-Quebec.
