LePage: Louisiana Pacific mill to add 20 jobs
Gov. Paul LePage said Louisiana Pacific Corp. plans to hire 20 more workers early next year at its New Limerick plant, which hired 41 people in 2013.
The governor’s office reported in a press release that the building products manufacturer’s growth is in part attributed to an earlier expansion. The Bangor Daily News reported the company invested around $140 million in 2007 to convert its facility from producing oriented-strand boards to laminated strand lumber.
LePage said the company also received a $70,000 Workforce Development Grant for worker training this year, through the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development.
