Lewiston restaurant’s changes build on ‘local’

The owners of Rails Restaurant, which opened in Lewiston in 2014, have sold the restaurant to their daughter, who plans to update it.

Set in the historic Grand Trunk Station, founders Claire and Steve Dick sold the restaurant to their daughter, Ileshea Stowe, the Sun Journal reported.

Stowe told the paper she’s planning some changes to the popular eatery as it begins its third year, including new food, new drinks, new art and music, and a new bar area. New small plates will add a tapas experience.

Music and art will also be added. The changes build on the locally sourced core of the restaurant, Stowe said.

“We’re local from the heart out, and I think this is a great thing for Lewiston,” Stowe told the paper.
