Maine home sales drop in April
Maine home sales in April decreased 23% from the same month last year, according to new numbers from the Maine Association of Realtors.
The median sales price for those single-family homes sold in Maine in April decreased 11% to $178,200, down from the median sales price of $201,000 reported in April 2007.
According to the National Association of Realtors, real estate sales -- including single-family homes, townhomes, co-ops and condos -- decreased 17.5% across the country in the past 12 months, and the national median sales price dipped 8% to $202,300.
