Maine to hold seminars on tax changes

Maine Revenue Services is hosting sales tax seminars across the state over the next couple months to review changes in the tax law included in the tax reform legislation passed this year by the Legislature.
The free, three-hour seminars on the changes affecting sales, use and service provider taxes will be offered twice daily at 23 locations from St. Agatha to Wells. The events are aimed at educating retailers and the general public alike. The tax changes are scheduled to go into effect on Jan. 1, 2010.
