Marketing firm plans $10M expansion

A Portland-based event marketing firm has launched a $10 million expansion that could add 100 jobs.

Stephen Woods, founder of emg3, has begun building a business campus on eight acres in Falmouth to help his company expand into emerging marketing fields, including environmental and digital marketing, according to the Portland Press Herald. The environmentally friendly workplace will incorporate aspects of experiential marketing, which use aspects of theater and theme parks to engage consumers. Woods hopes the expansion will add 100 people to his 42-person staff within two years.

Woods has also established a new firm, TideSmart Global LLC, that will oversee emg3 and other niche companies he plans to create, according to the paper.
