On Feb. 27, leaders from across Maine’s real estate industry will gather for the Maine Real Estate & Development Association’s forecast conference and member showcase.
The annual MEREDA event will take place at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the program beginning at 10 a.m.
The conference brings together folks to talk about trends, outlooks and ideas in the real estate and development industries. The afternoon format lets attendees choose from nine panel discussions.
“Creating opportunities for responsible development takes a community of people working together,” said Shannon Richards, MEREDA’s president.
The conference is geared toward builders, developers, brokers, attorneys, architects, engineers, municipal leaders, bankers and accountants.
Along with presentations from real estate leaders across various sectors, there will be a featured presentation from Chris Mallett from Northeastern University’s Roux Institute.
The conference will include a member showcase with exhibitions from more than 60 businesses.
An application has been made for continuing education credits.
MEREDA’s mission is to promote responsible development throughout Maine, and is committed to providing opportunities for people to learn and connect with other industry professionals.
Sponsors include TD Bank, the City of Bangor, Landry/French, M&R Holdings, Sebago Technics, Perkins Thompson, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Katahdin Trust Co., Pierce Atwood, United Insurance, Westbrook Development Corp., M.W. Hoss Construction, Wright-Ryan Construction, Maine Redevelopment Land Bank and Mainebiz.
