New wine bar helps boost downtown Biddeford
The latest addition to Biddeford’s nightlife scene is Uncorked Wine Bar, the Journal Tribune reported.
The bar was started by Jim Albert, who also opened the Cowbell Burger Bar last summer across the street and also owns Jimmy the Greek’s in Old Orchard Beach.
“I was asking a lot of my customers at Cowbell what they’d like to see in Biddeford, and I noticed a lot of (people) at happy hour drinking wine,” Albert told the paper. “I saw that space open up with all the glass and I said to myself, ‘Wine Bar.’”
Albert is also building an arcade bar two doors down from Uncorked.
“Biddeford is on the upswing for sure,” he said. “We’re at the cusp for where we’re going.”
