New hires

Portside Real Estate Group hired Christy Harlander as associate broker and Luke Hayward as sales agent in Kennebunk.

The Maine Sports Commission hired Patrick Caron as sports development director. Caron is the founder of Move Free, an international outdoor brand.

Whitney Parrish Perry

The American Heart Association in Maine in Augusta hired Whitney Parrish Perry as Maine’s government relations director. Most recently, Perry served as executive/operations director at Maine Access Points.

Maine Historical Society in Portland hired Lauren Webster as director of audience engagement, Maureen Duggan Emery as philanthropy manager and Sophie Bray as donor engagement and events specialist.

Lynch Group, a family-owned holding company in Bangor managing several businesses in transportation, logistics, data management and commercial real estate, hired Sam Froelich as director of records management center and shredding on site. Previously, Froelich was director of business development at Paper Transport.

CORE, a real estate firm in Portland, hired Corey Jones as associate vice president of the firm’s Acquisitions Division.

The Maine Business School at UMaine hired Andrew King as director of MaineMBA program. King was most recently director of graduate studies at the University of Southern Maine.

Gideon Asen, a personal injury and medical malpractice firm in Auburn, hired Jeffrey Wright as COO.

Promotions

Ava Collins

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor promoted Ava Collins to president. Collins, who joined the medical center in in June 2024 as vice president of Oncology Services, was previously interim president.

First National Bank in Damariscotta promoted Jody Brown to executive vice president and chief risk officer and Marcia Benner to executive vice president and chief administrative officer.

Sargent Corp., an employee-owned general contractor in Orono, promoted Carey Sheehan to vice president accounting and administration. Sheehan previously served as controller.

Howell Laboratories Inc. in Bridgton, with divisions GDL Powder Coating and ODAT Machine, promoted Angela Gillespie to COO for all three divisions. Gillespie was previously vice president for Howell Laboratories Inc.

Q-Team Tree Service in Naples promoted Aaron Gosselin to president. Gosselin was previously general manager.

The Maine Community College System in Augusta added Stacey Harris as a trustee. Harris, who was nominated by Gov. Janet Mills and confirmed by the Maine Senate, is a general superintendent for Consigli Construction Co. Inc. in Portland.

Gov. Janet Mills nominated Michael Duguay to serve as commissioner of the Maine Department of Economic & Community Development. Duguay is currently executive director of the Harold Alfond Institute for Business Innovation at Thomas College in Waterville.

Camden National Corp., the bank holding company for Camden National Bank, added Raina Maxwell to the corporation’s and the bank’s board of directors as well as to the Camden National Credit Committee. Maxwell is vice president, customer satisfaction and customer advocate at L.L.Bean.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Maine in South Portland named Portland-based InterMed as one of 19 national recipients in its inaugural Care Provider Recognition Program.

Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce announced its annual “Businesses of the Year” award winners including Bike, Board & Ski, “Economic Impact;” Beaulieu’s Garage, “Community Impact;” Joseph Olore, “Lifetime Achievement;” Gary Marquis, “Citizen of the Year;” and Jennifer Olsen, “President’s Award.”

Norway Savings Bank named Dana Myles, commercial loan officer team leader and regional vice president, its “President’s Award” winner at its 2025 Employee Appreciation Day Celebration. The National Credit Union Foundation presented one of its four “2025 Herb Wegner Memorial Awards” to the Maine Credit Union League’s Campaign for Ending Hunger. In 2024, the campaign raised $1.3 million.

Central Maine Growth Council in Waterville presented its annual “2024 Developer of the Year” award to Manor Gardens LLC and Arcon Realty, a sustainable and community-focused townhouse-style housing complex in Waterville.
