Norway Savings Bank has hired Amy Fox as vice president of human resources.
Fox brings over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, including work in retail, deposit operations, lending and branch management.
“I have always worked for organizations that have a positive impact on their community,” said Fox. “As someone who grew up here, I have always been aware of Norway Savings Bank and its community involvement.
"It makes me excited to be part of a team that puts the community at the forefront of their business. Not only do they encourage their team members to get involved, but NSB gives employees paid time to get out in their communities and volunteer for organizations they believe in.”
Prior to joining Norway Savings, Fox held several roles at various banks, including the University Credit Union in Portland and the Dirigo Federal Credit Union in Lewiston. She started her banking career as a teller and worked her way up to branch management and mortgage lending, before shifting her focus to human resources.
The Mechanic Falls native is a certified HR professional and recently completed her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Southern Maine.
“Throughout my career, it’s been my experience that the best organizations can be identified by the way in which they prioritize their team members,” said Fox. “NSB believes that its team members are its greatest source of strength, which speaks volumes."
Norway Savings Bank ranked No. 7 among the largest Maine-based banks, based on assets of $1.83 billion on June 30, 2023, according to the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists.
