The Institute for Family-Owned Business will host a panel discussion from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, on "Leading into the Next Phase: How Maine Leaders are Navigating Ongoing Shifts in Workplace Trends and Supporting Equality for Employees."
With new phrases like the great resignation and quiet quitting, Maine business leaders are focused on how to retain talent by encouraging engagement and increasing morale, productivity and equality — a topic of especially pressing concern given the negative impacts from the pandemic on people within gender differences.
The panel will discuss challenges facing businesses today, including how the ongoing shifts in workplace trends are impacting work-life blend and how the panelists are navigating into the new “normal.” Panelists will speak to the strategies they have implemented to support employees and will open up the conversation to the audience on common challenges and triumphs encountered throughout the pandemic.
The moderator will be Colleen McCracken a strategic business advisor with over 35 years of business and senior leadership experience with large multi-national companies including WR Grace and G.H. Bass. The panelists include Erin Clymer Lessard, chief strategy officer and principal consultant for Lapin International.
The event will be held at Bernstein Shur Conference Room IB on the 5th floor at 100 Middle St. in Portland and via Zoom. IFOB members are free; all others pay $35. Register and RSVP here.
