Partners Bank has promoted Stephen Sessler to the position of senior vice president.
Sessler joined Partners Bank in 2019 as a senior retail banker.
“His desire and ability to put our customers and employees at the forefront of our decision-making has made him an invaluable resource to members of our management group,” said Blaine Boudreau, president and CEO.
Sessler has extensive experience in the banking and mortgage industry, and has held numerous leadership roles. He previously worked as a regional sales manager at U.S. Bank and as the senior vice president, managing director of mortgage banking, at Bank of Maine and at Camden National Bank.
Sessler also held positions at SunTrust Mortgage as the vice president and regional manager and at Webster Bank as the vice president and a regional manager at Chase.
Sessler received his bachelor’s degree in political science and pre-law from Michigan State University.
Partners Bank was founded in 1933 as the Sanford Institution for Savings, but changed its name to Partners Bank in 2019. The financial institution is headquartered in Sanford, with additional branches in Springvale, south Sanford, Wells and York, as well as three branches in New Hampshire.
Partners Bank was ranked No. 14 among the largest Maine-based banks in the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on $1 billion in Maine deposits as of June 30, 2023.
