A former Biddeford Savings Bank branch manager is the new vice president and market manager for the Buxton, Limerick and Waterboro branches of Partners Bank.
In his role, William Wood will be responsible for new business development, customer service and overseeing daily operations. He replaces Faith Smith.
Wood has a lengthy background in banking and customer service. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management. He began his career in lending before moving on to customer service and branch management. Most recently, Wood held the position of branch manager, vice president at Biddeford Savings Bank.
“We believe William’s background and understanding of the community where he lives and works makes him the perfect person for this busy position,” said Partners Bank President and CEO Blaine Boudreau.
Partners Bank was founded in 1933 as Sanford Institution for Savings and changed its name to Partners Bank in 2019. The financial institution is headquartered in Sanford, with additional branches in Springvale, south Sanford, Wells and York, as well as three branches in New Hampshire.
Partners Bank was ranked No. 16 among the largest Maine-based banks in the 2022 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on Maine deposits as of June 30, 2021.
