South Portland-based Custom Disability Solutions, a group disability reinsurance provider, plans to hire more than 45 new employees as part of an expansion of its claims management operations.
In the next few months, CDS will add a new short-term disability claims management unit at its office on Sable Oaks Drive and add to its current staff of 158 employees, according to a press release. In February, CDS began a recruitment effort to fill the positions. It’s currently interviewing candidates and plans to have all positioned and trained by the summer.
CDS, a division of Reliance Standard Life Insurance Co., provides actuarial, claims, financial, product management, and sales and marketing services to its disability reinsurance clients.
