Deanna Lynn, a resident and member of the Lewiston Auburn community, has opened a new State Farm agency.
The agency is at 155 Lisbon St., Suite 2, in Lewiston.
Lynn began her career with State Farm in 1989, and many of her family members have followed in her footsteps and joined the carrier — including her husband, oldest son, and sister.
"I have my bachelor's degree in nursing and have always been very passionate about taking care of others' needs. I have a deep understanding of the stress and helplessness we can feel when things go wrong, so I am here to help things go right," Lynn said.
Lynn said she looks forward to building and supporting the community by protecting vulnerable people with life and renter's insurance.
"Lewiston is a place of tremendous economic opportunity as a city that is certified business-friendly by the state of Maine. We are proud to be the home of many strong, well-established businesses, a growing number of startups, and a city with a can-do attitude," said Mayor Carl Sheline.
At a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 19, Sheline was joined by LA Metro Chamber President and CEO Shanna Cox and State Farm agency team members.
"As an executive who balances family, work, and community, I know firsthand that Deanna's success in business stems from her deep engagement and care for the community," Cox said. "Her empathy and skill is evident, and makes her not only an asset for her clients, but an asset to Auburn and Lewiston."
State Farm and its affiliates are the largest providers of auto and home insurance in the United States. Its more than 19,400 agents and approximately 53,400 employees serve over 87 million policies and accounts that include auto, fire, life, health, commercial policies and financial services accounts. State Farm has a revenue of $7.9 billion as of 2019.
