Stationery co. lays off 16

William Arthur Inc., a luxury stationery printing company in West Kennebunk, is planning to lay off 16 full-time employees.
The cuts, representing about 6% of the company's 250-person staff, are the result of an effort to restructure several positions, the company said in an announcement released Wednesday. "These changes are the result of the uncertain economic times, and will enable the company to reorganize for improved efficiency and its focus on growth," Dotty Leavitt, vice president of employee services, said in the release.
In February, William Arthur laid off 23 employees and eliminated its third shift.
