The year in review: Here are 10 of our most unusual business stories

File Photo In May, Mainebiz reported that Entosense, a Lewiston producer of edible insects, planned to raise $1 million to $2 million for launching a cricket farm.

To cap off our look at the news of 2019, Mainebiz has put together a collection of articles about outliers — the unusual, the surprising and the sometimes wacky happenings in the state’s business scene.

Earlier, we compiled some of our most positive, pro-business stories for the year, as well as ones we felt reflected poorly on Maine’s companies and businesspeople.
