Tilson, the fast-growing network deployment and IT professional services company led by CEO Joshua Broder, has added to its executive team with the appointment of a new CFO.
As of April 2, Shaun McCarthy will join Tilson in the new role, leading Tilson’s finance team as it continues to expand its network infrastructure design build services amid rapid expansion nationwide.
“Shaun will be instrumental in providing financial vision, strategy and leadership to drive Tilson’s continued momentum and we are excited to welcome him,” Broder said in a news release emailed on Wednesday. “He has an extensive background in financial planning and management across a variety of industries, making him an invaluable addition to Tilson’s leadership team.”
McCarthy has more than 20 years of experience in senior financial positions, most recently as CFO and vice president of finance and corporate controller at Casa Systems, a broadband infrastructure technology solutions provider.
“I am excited and honored to join Tilson at a time of essential growth,” McCarthy said in the release. “I look forward to working with Josh and the entire team to further enhance the company’s financial and operational performance and accelerate the company’s growth trajectory as a continued leader in the industry.
Tilson employs more than 550 people nationwide, including 183 in Maine — with an average of around 80 working in its Portland office.
Kat Chittenden, the company’s marketing and design manager, told Mainebiz that the company currently has 80 nationwide job openings, including 20 in Portland.
Broder, a decorated U.S. Army veteran and self-taught network engineer, was honored as a 2018 Mainebiz Business Leader of the Year in the large business category.
