The former Arrow-Hart Corp. electrical equipment plant in Brunswick is the home to a new store and company office of U-Haul Company of Maine.
On Monday, U-Haul Moving & Storage of Arrow Hart, at 1 Cressey Road, began offering truck and trailer rentals at the 186,293-square-foot building, according to a release.
"This building sat empty for more than five years," U-Haul Company of Maine President Jon Hynes said in a statement. "The manufacturing plant had been around for more than 35 years. It's the largest building in the area, so it's important it doesn't become an eyesore."
In addition to housing offices and its fleet of moving vehicles, the Brunswick location will soon offer professional hitch installation, propane, U-Box portable moving and self-storage containers. By late summer, 500 storage units will be available for U-Haul customers, according to the release.
