Portland-based United Insurance has acquired six offices from Kimball Korp.
The office locations are in Rumford, Farmington, Lewiston, Livermore Falls, Turner and Sangerville.
Terms of the deal, which was announced Monday, were not disclosed.
Kimball Korp, headquartered in Sangerville, is owned by Kam Kimball and provides personal and business insurance services in collaboration with numerous local companies.

The staff of Advantage Insurance in Rumford is moving to United's Rumford office. The staff of D&H Insurance in Lewiston and Bessey Insurance in Turner are moving to the Auburn office.
Weber Insurance has offices in Farmington and Livermore Falls. The Farmington staff is joining United's Farmington office on Church Street.
Jim Darroch, director of marketing and community engagement for United Insurance, told Mainebiz the Weber Insurance location in Livermore Falls and the Kimball Insurance location in Sangerville will continue operating as United Insurance offices.
A total of 18 employees will join United Insurance.
"Kam Kimball approached us through a mutual connection," said Darroch. "His agency locations fit our footprint and this was a nice opportunity for us and the Kimball employees."
Darroch said Kam Kimball will continue leading Kimball Financial and Kimball Life and Health, which are based in Sangerville.
In January, United Insurance acquired Gallagher Insurance, a Caribou firm.
United Insurance, which is based on Forest Avenue in Portland, has a team of nearly 200 people and 18 locations in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The firm offers personal, business and employee benefits, as risk management services to over 35,000 clients.
