Jersey Mike’s Subs will open its next Maine location at 240 U.S. Route 1 in Falmouth on Wednesday, May 29.
The sub shop will be in a former Olympia Sports store.
Jersey Mike’s Subs, with more than 3,000 locations nationwide, serves authentic, fresh-sliced/fresh-grilled subs on freshly baked bread in-store — the same recipe since it started in 1956.
There are now 10 Jersey Mike's stores in Maine: in Auburn, Augusta, Bangor, Brunswick, Portland, Saco, Scarborough, Topsham and Windham, according to the company's website.
Jersey Mike's Franchise Systems Inc. is based in Manasquan, N.J.
In Falmouth, owner Chris Brown will celebrate the opening with a day of giving to benefit Falmouth Elementary School. On opening day, Brown will donate 100% of sales — not just profit — to the local school.
“We wanted to end the school year with a bang by providing and earmarking funds to support Falmouth Elementary School,” said Brown. “Jersey Mike's has maintained community involvement as its core value since the very beginning, and it is in that spirit that we've decided to donate all opening day sales, not just profit, to Falmouth Elementary School. We couldn't think of a better way to announce to the community that we are here and we want to help, all the while serving up the best submarine sandwiches!”
Brown is also the owner of the Jersey Mike’s location in Saco.
The restaurant will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Restaurant-goers can place orders in-store or for pickup through the website or through the Jersey Mike’s app. Additionally, delivery is available in most areas through the Jersey Mike’s app or through third-party delivery partners. Curbside pickup is available for orders placed in Jersey Mike’s app.
