A Yarmouth engineering firm that launched only four months ago is out of the gate fast, announcing this week the opening of a satellite office in Rockport, three new hires and a new client project.
Trillium Engineering Group, a structural and civil engineering and land surveying design firm, is working on a 2,500-square-foot addition to Linda Bean’s Maine Kitchen & Topside Tavern in Freeport, firm co-principal Tony Dumais told Mainebiz on Friday.
No cost estimate for the project is yet available, but Dumais said the expansion will cover all three floors of the eatery, which faces the L.L.Bean Inc. flagship store in the downtown center.
New features will include a walk-up ice cream window on the first floor and raw bar on the second floor. The second floor will also feature a new bar that can be opened up to the outside with large bi-folding doors and gas fireplaces.
Trillium is working with David Matero Architecture on the project, which has received Freeport Project Review Board approval. Zachau Construction is expected to break ground on the expansion this fall.
Trillium, led by Dumais and co-principal Eric Dube, now has eight employees and estimates its first year’s revenue will reach $1.5 million, according to Dumais. The firm is headquartered at 189 Main St., Yarmouth, but recently added an office at 446 West St., Rockport.
The firm specializes in civic, commercial, educational, municipal, health care, industrial, residential and housing services throughout Maine and New England.
This is so awesome and definitely shows that hard work pays off! Congratulations to you both!!
