Vaccinations for COVID-19 are a focus of public attention in Maine, as availability of the potentially lifesaving medications becomes more and more widespread. Mass vaccination sites began opening two months ago, in Scarborough and Bangor, and many clinics, pharmacies and other sites are now inoculating Mainers. The timetable for administering vaccines has also been speeding up.
By Sunday, more than 584,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine had been administered in Maine, according to the office of Gov. Janet Mills. Roughly 220,000 Mainers have received their final dose of a vaccine.

The science has a solid twenty year foundation and all the approvals needed to trust it. But the truth does not lie halfway between peer reviewed clinically tried science and internet chatter. Half true is false.
Disappointed in the number of people who say they won't get the shot. They are listening to non-authoritative sources instead of the experts. They, in the foolish numbers, could end up tubing this for everyone else and we might continue to have to live through this much longer than necessary. Really infuriating that the ill-informed can have such an impact.
I trust the science and was happy to be vaccinated. Keep everyone healthy - get the shot. Great job, Governor Mills and Dr. Shah!
I was not expecting the supply chain to be as robust before Spring. After a slow start, the volume of vaccine available has grown rapidly, driving the development of more sites and opportunities to get vaccinated. Maine has done well, but its a good news story for most of the country.

It seem to me that Maine, despite lots of time to plan, was unprepared to administer the vaccine. The Northern Light sign-up system/form in complicated. Many older Mainers have limited or no computer skills. The phone sign-up system (if there is one) is a disgrace.
