Peters will succeed Peter Dusseault, who has served the firm for a decade. Dusseault will transition to the role of executive vice president, where he will support Peters during the CFO transition before retiring in the coming year.

“We are deeply grateful for Peter’s significant contributions as CFO during a 10-year period of unprecedented growth for the company,” said Danielle Betts, president of Knickerbocker Group.

“In addition to overseeing the finance department, Peter managed business operations and successfully oversaw the transition to 100% employee ownership in 2017. Peter has a breadth of business experience that has been foundational to our success.”

About the next CFO

As CFO, Peters will collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies, identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and lead the finance team.

She joined the company in 2018 as a financial analyst and steadily advanced within it, becoming director of financial planning and analysis in 2022.

“Knickerbocker Group has been an incredible place for my professional growth and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of our ESOP-driven culture,” said Peters.

During her time with the company, Peters has led several key initiatives, including overhauling the firm’s budgeting and tracking processes, modernizing time-entry systems and implementing new HR and enterprise resource planning platforms.

Peters received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and recently earned her MBA with a concentration in finance from Southern New Hampshire University.

“I am thrilled to have Marta as a partner as we kick off this next phase of KG’s leadership history,” said Betts. Her intelligence, her drive, her solution-based approach to problems, and her 'yes, if' mindset will undoubtedly lead our finance team to achieving technical innovation and excellence.”
