A former lobster fisherman has joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as branch relationship manager for the bank’s location in Bar Harbor.
Cody Farrell took over for Debbie Mitchell-Dow, who recently retired. Farrell will lead a team of banking professionals to help individuals, families and businesses on Mount Desert Island meet their financial goals.
He has more than eight years of retail management experience. After earning a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Thomas College, Farrell worked his way from assistant manager at Olympia Sports in Ellsworth to area manager. In the retail roles, he was responsible for merchandising, loss prevention, customer service, sales and staff training. Prior to his tenure at Olympia Sports, he worked as a lobsterman for 10 years.
“As a Maine native, it was important to me that I join an organization that is so entrenched in the community and passionate about helping Mainers,” Farrell said. “I am excited about this new opportunity and look forward to helping the individuals and businesses in Bar Harbor find the right solutions for their financial needs.”
“Cody has an impressive track record of leading successful teams and delivering superior customer service, and we are excited to have him join us as our branch manager in Bar Harbor.” said Lisa Parsons, senior vice president and regional market manager for Bar Harbor Bank & Trust.
