Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has appointed Nickol Daigle as a mortgage loan originator.
In her new position, Daigle will help individuals and families in Cumberland County secure financing for homes.
"It's a rewarding career. It gives me the opportunity to help people achieve their dream of home ownership," said Daigle. "I'm excited to be a part of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust and build relationships with clients in Cumberland County."
Before embarking on her career in the financial services industry in 2018, Daigle worked for several years in early childhood education and health care. Her career included roles at a Lil' Critters Daycare & Preschool. Her background also includes a stint as a certified nursing assistant and a patient service representative at Central Maine Medical Center's pediatrics department.
Daigle told Mainebiz that she was looking for a career change, and when her children got older, she decided to try an entirely different field.
"Once I started my career in banking, I excelled in the field and found success in the departments I was in," said Daigle. "That's when I realized banking was the right fit for me."
During five years of work at TD Bank, she served in various roles, including as a banking specialist and as a digital payment advisor.
The South Paris resident holds an associate degree in early childhood education from Kaplan University. An active community member, Daigle is a member of the Greater Portland Board of Realtors.
