Camden National Bank, Maine’s largest bank, said Monday it has opened a loan office in Portsmouth, N.H., building on its out-of-state footprint.
The office, which is at 210 Commerce Way, will serve as a hub for consumer and business loan production in southern New Hampshire, the bank said in a news release.
Camden National, which has $4.1 billion in assets and more than 60 branches, now has three locations outside of Maine, including Manchester, N.H., and Braintree, Mass.
“As we continue to see successful growth as a Maine-based company, we look to expand not only our products and services for existing areas, but also our footprint in new markets,” said Greg Dufour, president and CEO of the Camden-based bank. “Building off of our successful Manchester, N.H., office, opening a lending office in Portsmouth is a critical next step in growing relationships in the area and cultivating new business.”
Camden National strengthened its southern Maine business by acquiring The Bank of Maine in 2015 and opened its Manchester loan office in 2014. Overall, Camden National Corp. (NASDAQ: CAC) has 60 branch offices, 76 ATMs and the three out-of-state loan offices. It has 650 employees.
