DOL introduces online tool for job seekers

The Maine Department of Labor today launched a service to help the unemployed search and find jobs online.
Maine's Job Bank is an online job posting board integrated with the unemployment system. It can be accessed at the Maine CareerCenter website at www.mainecareercenter.com. Employers can use Maine's Job Bank to upload and manage job postings at no cost, while job seekers can search for jobs by region or occupation. Job seekers can also upload résumés, which employers can then review.
"At a time of limited resources, this tool expands CareerCenter services, to all Maine workers and employers regardless of where they live or what time of day it is," Labor Commissioner Laura Fortman said in a press release.
