Portland-based Evergreen Credit Union has added Amanda Peacock to its growing leadership team as the next vice president of member experience and engagement.
Peacock will oversee the entire member experience, from interactions at brick-and-mortar branches to service through digital channels. She will also lead several of Evergreen’s member-facing channels, including the retail locations and call center.
“The opportunity to look at everything we do at Evergreen through a member lens to elevate their experience doesn’t even feel like a job to me; it’s a privilege and one I have been honored to take on,” said Peacock.
Prior to joining Evergreen Credit Union, Peacock held several leadership roles at Atlantic Federal Credit Union, moving from teller to various positions to her most recent role as regional director of retail services.
She was also a customer service representative for Hannaford Supermarkets.
“Amanda understands Evergreen’s mission,” said Tim Verreault, Evergreen’s COO. “She’s collaborative across all lines of business and recognizes that, in order to take care of our members, we first need to take care of our employees. She’s forging strong bonds every day.”
Besides its Portland headquarters, Evergreen operates branches in Naples, South Portland, and Windham, a commercial banking center in Westbrook, and a new Scarborough branch, the sixth location.
Evergreen Credit Union has assets of $532 million, ranking fifth among the largest Maine-based credit unions. The credit union was founded in 1951 to serve employees of the S.D. Warren Paper Mill in Westbrook and has grown to operate in six counties in southern Maine.
