A Portland travel company has opened an office in Naples, Fla., to serve the state's southwest population.
Hurley Travel Experts' new affiliate will focus on business, group and luxury vacation travel, according to a press release from the company. The company's senior vice president, William "Mitch" Mitchell, lives in Naples and will oversee the operations there. He says southwest Florida and the corporations based there offer Hurley Travel a healthy market in which to continue growing.
CEO and President Pamela Hurley-Moser says the company, which has between 20 and 25 employees, experienced "phenomenal growth over the last year."
The company grew 30% last year and hired six new full-time employees, according to Mitchell. He credits the growth to the company's "high-tech, high-touch" services, as well as to pent-up demand for travel. "On the corporate side, they were ramping up, in expansion mode and were traveling more. And vacation travelers were holding off so long, they were ready to continue their bucket lists," he says, adding more families seem to be traveling together, looking for a "memorable, experiential experience."
Mitchell anticipates the Naples office will hire between five and 10 employees over the next 18 months and boost the company's revenue by 20% overall.
