It's Plum Creek's decision now

Maine state land use regulators have given Plum Creek until Oct. 14 to decide whether it wants to accept their proposed revisions and move forward with its massive development plan for the Moosehead Lake region.

The Land Use Regulation Commission has kept the most controversial parts of Plum Creek's resort plan intact -- the 975 house lots and development on Lily Bay, WMTW reported.

LURC's approval of Plum Creek's plan would include the conservation of more than 400,000 acres of forest in the Moosehead Lake area.
