JetBlue Airways is adding nonstop flights this fall between Portland and Orlando, Fla.
The service will start Oct. 28 and operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays through the winter, according to a news release from Portland International Jetport. Tickets will be available for purchase starting this Sunday.
“Today is a fantastic day for the Jetport,” said Paul Bradbury, the airport director. “It is really exciting to see JetBlue return to being a year-round carrier in Portland, and we are grateful for the continued investment by JetBlue into the market.”
JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU) will be the fourth carrier to provide nonstop service between PWM and Orlando International Airport. Breeze Airways, Frontier Airlines and Southwest Airlines also fly between Portland and Orlando.
Orlando is the destination with the largest market share at the jetport during the winter, accounting during those months for nearly 20% of all passenger traffic, according to the news release.
